Target Field is an accessible and affordable baseball stadium located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The stadium is the home ballpark of the Minnesota Twins. The stadium opened in 2010 and has a capacity of 39,504. The stadium was built at the cost of $555 million and broke ground on August 30, 2007. It opened on April 12, 2010. The Target Field is accessible by public transit, with the Northstar Line and Blue Line light rail lines stopping at the stadium. The Green Line light rail also stops nearby.

The Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota is a world-class baseball stadium that features a unique field size. Left Field is only 339 feet (103 m), while Left-Center is 377 feet (115 m). Center Field left corner is an impressive 411 feet (125 m), while Center Field right corner is a slightly shorter 403 feet (123 m). Right-Center is 367 feet (112 m), and Right Field is only 328 feet (100 m). This makes for a very interesting and challenging field for both hitters and pitchers.

How Much Did Target Field Cost

The overall construction cost was estimated to be $435 million, of which the Twins were responsible for paying $175 million and Hennepin County was responsible for paying $260 million through the imposition of a 0.15 percent county-wide sales tax. The county contributed $90 million, the team contributed $20 million, Target Corporation contributed $4.5 million, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation contributed $3.5 million. The Minnesota Ballpark Authority contributed $2 million, bringing the total cost of the project to $555 million in the United States.
