There are open public tours that anyone can go on, private tours for groups of 10 or more people, and school tours for classes of 50 or fewer students. You can request a tour by filling out an online form. There are also guidelines to help you prepare for your visit.

Tours Hours

The Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota offers public and private tours of its facility. Public tours are offered every week at the following times: Thursdays at 11:00 AM, Fridays at 11:00 AM, Saturdays at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Sundays at 2:00 PM, and Mondays at 11:00 AM. Private tours can be scheduled by filling out an online request form.

Education

The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) in Minneapolis, Minnesota has a department that produces educational programs for people of all ages and abilities. The programs are designed to be interesting, promote creativity, spark curiosity, and be accessible to everyone.

Every third Saturday of the month, the museum will have free story time for families and kids. Each family will receive a copy of the book to take home with them!

TMORA Story Time in the Gallery is recommended for kids aged 5-9, but all are welcome. It happens every third Saturday of the month from 10:30-11:00 a.m. and it’s free, but you have to register because there’s limited space.

Russian Language Classes

The Museum of Russian Art is a place where people can learn the Russian language. The classes are held for ten weeks and are limited to eight students. Only adults can participate.

Transportation and Parking

You can get to The Museum of Russian Art by car or bus. There is free parking at the Mayflower Church parking lot. You can also park on the residential streets surrounding the museum.

There is a small lot on the east side of the Museum on Stevens Avenue with three handicap-accessible parking spots. Street parking is available on Stevens Avenue and Diamond Lake Road.
